Terms & Conditions
Participation in Activities
I am voluntarily signing up for movement classes, wellness programmes, coaching sessions, workshops, retreats, and other health‑related shenanigans (collectively, the “Activities”) offered by Paradox Performance (the “Company”). These Activities may range from yoga and pilates to breathwork, guided movement, and performance‑boosting wellness experiences—either in person or online via video, livestream or podcast. All of it counts as “Activities.”
Health Acknowledgement
We know it’s tempting to power through with an “I’ve got this!” attitude—but if your body’s sending you an “I’ll pass” signal, please honour it. Our goal is to help you move better and feel better, not audition for a stunt double role!
I recognise that I must be in adequate physical and mental health to participate in the Activities which may require moderate to intense exertion, including strength, balance, flexibility, and cardiovascular efforts. Accordingly:
Physical Fitness Representation
I represent that I am physically fit and free of any medical conditions—such as uncontrolled hypertension, heart disease, recent fractures, epilepsy, or hernias—that would prevent my safe participation in movement classes (e.g., Pilates, yoga, guided movement) or performance‑focused experiences.
If I am pregnant, recently postpartum, or have had major surgery (including orthopaedic, cardiac, or abdominal), I confirm I have obtained explicit, written clearance from my physician before joining any Activity.
Mental Health & Well‑being
I represent that I am mentally and emotionally stable enough to comply with instructions, maintain personal safety, and avoid injury to myself or others. I will disclose any psychiatric conditions—such as severe anxiety, panic disorders, or post‑traumatic stress—that might affect my ability to participate safely.
Risk Awareness
I understand that participation may cause or aggravate injuries or conditions, including but not limited to sprains, strains, musculoskeletal injuries, dizziness, fainting, or cardiovascular events.
It is my responsibility to consult with a qualified medical professional regarding my participation. If I have done so, I have followed my physician’s advice. If I proceed without consultation, I accept all associated risks.
Disclosure & Safety
I will inform all instructors and facilitators of any changes in my health status—new injuries, medications that affect balance or heart rate, pregnancy, or recent surgeries—prior to each class or session.
Paradox Performance reserves the right to refuse or modify my participation in any Activity for health, safety, or fitness concerns (including but not limited to evidence of acute illness, uncontrolled conditions, or non‑disclosure of pertinent medical information).
Assumption of Risk
I get that joining these Activities might make my heart race, my muscles moan, and my limbs question my life choices. Risks include, but aren’t limited to:
High blood pressure, fainting, heartbeat irregularities or feeling like a cartoon character with steam coming out of your ears.
Aggravating old injuries or discovering new ones. I promise to listen to my body, hit “pause” if I need to, and not let my ego do the heavy lifting.
Release of Liability
In exchange for letting me show off my warrior poses, I accept full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or “oops” moments (even those caused by accidental trips over yoga mats or over‑zealous coaching cues). I hereby agree not to hold Paradox Performance or its heroic team of owners, facilitators, coaches, employees, or independent contractors (the “Released Parties”) liable for anything—except maybe spelling errors on their emails.
Waiver of Claims
I knowingly and voluntarily waive any and all claims—whether for personal injury, emotional distress, or otherwise—against the Released Parties, even if such claims arise from their negligence or oversight. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless all Released Parties from any costs, including legal fees, incurred in defending any claim brought by me or on my behalf.
“Claim” includes, but is not limited to: personal injury, property damage, mental anguish, distress, all liabilities, claims, demands, expenses, fees, legal actions, rights of actions for damages, personal injury, mental suffering and distress, or death that I may suffer, my spouse, children or unborn child may suffer (including any legal fees or expenses) in connection with participation in any Activity.
Binding Agreement
Me, my heirs and anyone else who tries to sue on my behalf, hereby release and promise not to sue the Released Parties. Ever.
Use of Media
Paradox Performance might photograph or video our graceful (or not‑so‑graceful) attempts at movement, and use the footage for promo—because if we didn’t share, did it even happen? I consent to having my likeness used in flyers, websites, social media, carrier pigeon postcards, or any other marketing wizardry. If you really hate being on camera, just holler beforehand and we’ll give you the red “No‑Photo” band.
Acknowledgement of Terms
I confirm I’ve read, understood, and even chuckled at parts of this agreement. I acknowledge that by joining the fun, I’m giving up certain rights (like suing people who shout “namaste” too loudly), and I accept these terms knowingly, voluntarily, and with full awareness that legal jargon is just fancy adult colouring book rules.
